5 Signs That You Should Hand Off the Management of Your Social Media

And sooner rather than later!

3 minute reading time

Whether we like it or not, social media is here to stay.  Small business owners should definitely make use of this opportunity for promotion and yet they aren’t able to do it on their own. If any of these signs sound familiar, then it’s time to get help:

You don't know where to start.
People who manage social media accounts for clients already know how to do it. This allows you to concentrate on what you're good at while letting an expert do that thing they're good at. Why waste time re-inventing the marketing wheel when you are so important to the heart of your business.

You don't have the time.
That's understandable. Small biz owners are notorious for wearing too many hats and working way too many hours. Hiring someone to manage your online marketing takes one of those hats off your head and lets you get home for dinner.

You never seem to get it done.
When you are fighting fires every day, managing your social media becomes a low-priority task that too often doesn’t get done. If you're not doing it, get someone else who will make sure it gets done on a regular basis.

You're missing customer interaction.
Are there negative reviews online that should be responded to? Or positive reviews you want to encourage? Is someone asking how to use your product or where to find it? Stale social media accounts turn off potential customers because your business looks out-of-touch or even closed down. Get someone in there whose job it is to pay attention.

You came.  You attempted.  You’ve had it.
Reading blogs on social media marketing and sitting through webinars is good, but it still doesn’t make you an expert. And that’s okay because, after all, you are the expert of your own business and you learned enough to appreciate what a professional can do for you.

Being consistent and persistent, drawing on past success and failures, owning the right tools for efficiency – these are just some of the advantages a social media pro has over you. If it’s time to hand off this task, you can find a service package that will fit your specific needs and budget, from basic brand-recognition maintenance to intense goal-driven strategies. We’d be happy to help you and your business, so give us a call!
