How do you decide if it's right for your business?
With apologies to Charles Dickens (and with perhaps just a bit of hyperbole!), Pinterest truly is a marketing platform that may do nothing for your business – or everything! Here are some arguments to consider:

I saw an interesting graphic recently that outlined how long content lasts. It broke down several of the top online marketing avenues: a blog post, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. What did it find? That each of these marketing platforms have a different expiration date for content.

In looking back over nearly six years of articles, it’s about time for a revamp for some of my most popular posts. For those of you who want to ‘make it’ on all the top social media sites. It would be nice to have a cheat sheet handy of the standard photo sizes for these sites, wouldn’t it? Well in that case, you’re welcome! No need to start a riot with all the applause; really, it was my pleasure. Here are the updated 2018 Social Media platform image sizes!

If I’ve said it before I’ll say it again, marketing on Pinterest can be extremely beneficial to your business. Why? For one thing –Pinterest has a unique set up. This unique setup gives it more selling potential than other platforms. Think of it this way, you have more than one channel to appeal to customers on. Users can follow both individual boards that you post as well as you as an individual pinner. The opportunities here are endless.

Here, in the age of mobile internet, you may think that it’s nearly impossible to lose mobile readers. Well, you’d be wrong about that. Even though a vast majority of people are checking in while on the go, an increasing number of people are getting fed up with certain annoyances associated with reading articles or visiting websites when using their phones. What are these huge annoyances?

This week, Pinterest announced the rollout of buyable pins for U.S. Android users. Back in June, Pinterest announced buyable pins for iOS users as well. With Pinterest serving as a huge site for retailers and shoppers, it’s no wonder that they’re putting this sort of tool to use. Because about eighty percent of people buying things on Pinterest are doing so via mobile, buyable pins are a very smart and clear next step. They also announced The Pinterest Shop this week. The Pinterest Shop will serve as an opportunity for people to find collections of buyable pins that are handpicked by Pinterest.

At this point, many businesses have taken the initiative to put themselves out there. Businesses are reaching their customers like never before through websites, blogs, newsletters, and social media. With what seems like 30 new social media platforms a minute, it can be difficult to decide which network is worth putting a big chunk of your time into and which might not need as close of an eye on it.

Say it isn’t so! You’re talking to a dedicated “googler” over here. I’ve been hearing a lot of buzz lately about Pinterest being the new Google and at first I rolled my eyes and said a sarcastic OKAY, but now that I’ve sat back and thought about it a bit … I’m guilty of searching on Pinterest too. This can be a pretty positive shift for those who are marketing (or should be marketing) on Pinterest. With its power in search growing, this can translate into serious dollars for Pinterest marketers.

Businesses are continually encouraged to keep up with the beast that is social media marketing. More accounts to manage, more users to target, more followers to gain, more engagement, and more content to push. For companies with multiple social media accounts (ex: a Facebook page, Twitter page, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest, etc.) managing all those pages by single handedly logging into and updating each one is daunting. Add to the mix businesses like ours that help other companies manage their social media accounts and you’ve got one huge project (and one huge time suck) on your hands.
