Create Your Own Eye-Catching Infographics for Easy Sharing
Yes, you can!
While the craze for infographics peaked a few years ago, their appeal is still strong enough that you should consider creating your own. Here are a few tools to help you get started:
When I first wrote about infographics, it was smack-dab in the middle of the craze, but the reasons for making your infographics haven’t changed. Study after study shows that people simply respond better to visuals than to plain text. They are more likely to remember the information provided, tend to answer calls to action more often, and more readily share posts that contain an infographic. What’s not to love for any marketer?
If you search online for statistics on how relevant infographics are in 2021, you’ll find that many of the reports are infographics themselves! Hubspot reports that almost 70% of B2B marketing folks plan to use infographics in their campaigns this year, for the same reasons mentioned above. Wouldn’t it be great if you could make an infographic, too? Fortunately for you, the tools have only gotten better since my first post.
The tools I talked about in 2014 are still around, stronger than ever, but there are some new players in the market as well. Some tools are specialized, for instance, to provide geographical data or create a video infographic. Before you dive in to the creation process, learn their strengths so you find the right fit. To get you started, here are a few tools you should check out.
Adobe Spark
This name-you-know tool features some snazzy design features as well as a simple drag-and-drop editor. You can also resize your creation with one-click so it shines appropriately on any social media platform you choose.
Canva
From the how-to video to the provided templates at the infographic maker, this tool makes it easy for anyone to emulate a designer.
Snappa
You’ll find a wealth of templates to play with, as well as photos and graphics, all for free! There are limitations, such as the free plan limit of just one user, but what a way to get started!
Google Charts
Technically, this is a chart tool, but with it, you can easily make clean, professional graphics to illustrate your data and like many Google tools, this one is free.
Nearly every tool has at least a free trial for you to mess around with and some have very reasonable fees if you want to upgrade. Take a look at the ones I mentioned here and try out a simple infographic with some data from your business. The tools I talked about in my original post are also great choices if you want to check them out as well. Infographics make great social media posts and we’d be happy to share them for you!
