A Tribute to those Who Support Our Veterans
New Website Has a Timely Launch
On Veterans Day we honor America’s military veterans. Their job was and is to “serve and sacrifice for the common good.” All of us owe them a debt of gratitude for their service on our country’s behalf.
Among the sacrifices made are those borne by military families. Growing up the child of a military parent is a unique experience, only truly understood by other military “brats,” which is how the Brat Pride! organization came to be.
During Bob Halliker’s childhood, his family moved often to follow a father who served in the Air Force. Now with children and grandchildren of his own, Bob has taken on the challenge of bringing recognition and respect to military brats of every generation.
Sprocket Websites is honored to work with Bob in re-branding Brat Pride! and launching a new, improved website. Did you know that the dandelion is the official flower of the military brat? That’s because “Military children bloom everywhere the wind carries them.” The Brat Pride! Online shop features the blown dandelion on lapel pins, bracelets, scarves and other items for children of military families to show their pride and recognize others of their “tribe.”
The new website offers a better shopping experience for purchasers and a cleaner interface for Bob as he runs his online store. There’s also blogging space for Bob to tell his stories about growing up military and to share those of brats he’s met along the way.
Brat Pride! items make wonderful gifts for the children you know in military families as well as for grown-up “brats.” Especially on Veterans Day, reading Bob’s blog posts reminds us all to honor our military men and women, as well as those who support them.
