DIY Sprocket Solutions

Running social media for your small business is no small task, but it also doesn’t have to be overwhelming. If you’re looking for some free, and reliable, tools to help you along the way – look no further. Once you decide who your audience is, what platforms you should be on, and what content you’ll be posting –you will need a little assistance putting your plans into action. Here are 5 free social media marketing tools for small businesses to execute their marketing campaigns.

Optimizely

Optimizely is a headline analyzer that uses A/B testing. They test headlines across the web on any devices. Users have the ability to test whether different variations of images and headlines generate the better results. Optimizely has a free and also a pro plan available.

Hubspot's Blog Topic Generator

Hubspot's Blog Topic Generator is a great content tool for content marketers. If you’re writing a blog, and looking for topics, simply fill in three fields with topics you’d like to write about. From their site, “Don’t know what to blog about? Let us think of ideas for you.”

PostCreator

PostCreator is another great content tool. You can upload an image, write a little content, and add your logo. A branded image is then generated for you to use on your social networks. There’s a free plan and pro plans available as well.

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is one of the best social media management tools around. If you follow any of my articles, you know that this is my management tool of choice –by far. Hootsuite allows you to effectively manage all of your social networks from one platform. You can schedule updates, engage with your audience, track analytics, generate suggested posts, and more. There is a free plan if you have less than 10 social media platforms or a very inexpensive pro plan if you manage more than 10.

Unsplash

Unsplash is a great resource for stock images and photos. This site has literally thousands of free high-resolution photos to choose from with no restriction on how you can use the photos. This is a very valuable tool in content and social media marketing – you have to be very careful about where you’re getting your photos from and whether or not you have the rights to them.

So there you have it. These are 5 extremely valuable tools to anyone in the social media marketing game. The best part? They’re FREE. Do you have any social media marketing tools that you use religiously? Which ones can’t you live without? Post your favorites in the comments below!
