Virtual DNN Tech Summit Results in Literal Gains for Our Clients

This online conference was bursting with education and inspiration!

While we also build websites with WordPress, Sprocket Websites has long been the local DNN expert and attending DNN Summit 2021 recently provided us with new tech and tech partners that will benefit our clients.

“No-code” and “low-code” were big buzz words at Summit this year. Organizations are requiring increasingly complicated networks of applications to do their business online. Designing the interface and writing the custom code to make it all work together takes time – which, of course, means money.

No- and low-code tools help business managers and their web developers visualize needed processes and then build them quickly and efficiently. Connecting platforms, sharing data, and many other operations are easier than ever to manage and we can’t wait to show clients all they can accomplish with these tools.

Another big topic at DNN Summit 2021 was security, which is no surprise. More than ever before, business is happening online and updates designed to thwart the “bad guys” are necessary to prevent disruption, or worse, destruction.

Sessions on design and marketing were also popular and the online conference even provided networking opportunities to talk with other DNN users. Our Sprocket Website team were Silver Sponsors of DNN Summit 2021 as well as members of the planning committee, so we tried to experience as much of the event as possible. Don gave two presentations and served as moderator for a few more, Jim manned the Chicago Area DNN User Group’s virtual booth, and Kate managed much of the social media marketing.

There was a lot of apprehension about hosting their first virtual event, but the Summit committee was thrilled to find that they actually doubled attendance over last year’s in-person event, drawing people from time zones around the world. DNN is based on Microsoft’s .NET framework and the DNN Platform project is one of most active projects of the .NET Foundation.

We’re already putting some of this great education to work for a couple of current clients and we can’t wait to help new clients as well. Any organization that inherited a DNN website should check out the impressive tools available for better security, better marketing, and better capabilities. Give us a call to hear what’s new and how your business will benefit!
