Hootsuite saves my life, sanity, the happiness and well-being of those around me on a daily basis.  Dramatic much?  Perhaps, but I’ll tell you this - anything on this planet that saves both time and money on a consistent basis is a win in my book.  So how does Hootsuite save me?  How does this delectable tool keep me coming back for more?  Well, I’ll tell you.

There comes a time in every person’s life when they’ve got to ask themselves –is it time to redesign my website?  That may not actually be true.  The truth is, however, that if you DO have a website and if you ARE invested in it –it is worth a second look every now and then to see if there is actually need to shake things up a bit.  This could be anything from swapping out colors, to changing your whole theme.  Maybe your little spokesperson is a brunette, but you heard blondes have more fun.  Whatever your reasoning, if you are asking yourself if it’s time to redesign, here are a few pieces to look at that may need a little tweaking, moving, and shaking.

For the real people of the world, for the we're not exactly what you'd call millionaires, for the small business owners, for the just starting out-ers: Get Your Money’s Worth!  If you only have $20 to bring to the grocery store, don’t walk in and grab a box of $20 gourmet cookies and walk out.  You don’t have any milk to dip those cookies in, the cookies have nuts and you don’t even like nuts, and for the record –they don’t even taste good.  Your mission was not a success.  On the flip side of that coin, don’t walk in and grab 20 items from the dollar section either.  You don’t need a tiny rubber spatula or mini slinky that will get tangled before you leave the store.  Get what you need.

Way back when, I was a twitter newbie.  By way back when, I mean about 4 months ago.  At the time I was just getting used to the wonderful world of Twitter.  These days, I’m feeling pretty comfortable maneuvering my way around the tweets and hashtags.  But, in true Sprocket Solutions style.  I’ve got a few twitter faux pas that it’s best to stay (run) away from.

Hey you, yeah you.  Your photo is so big it’s blocking the sun. 

When I started with Sprocket Websites, I learned something very interesting about myself.  I don’t know about the rest of you, but I needed to join “I-need-to-start-resizing-my pictures-Anonymous”.  I had no clue what I was doing.  Our Facebook page needs a photo you say?  Well, here! Let’s shove this gigantic image into a tiny box and see if we can make out what that section is supposed to say.  Better yet, let’s take this teeny tiny picture and put it into a cavernous abyss and see how wide it can stretch!  What fun this is!

Well folks, we've reached over 220 twitter followers this week.  You may think, well... that's an odd number to be excited about.  But to a twitter newbie such as myself, every single last one of those follows ignited a little "woo hoo!" from the inside.  Prior to starting with Sprocket Websites, I didn't have a twitter account.  So, when asked to start up a twitter page for Sprocket Store, I said, "Sure! No big deal!" and thought, "gulp."  Before this, I hadn't even browsed into twitter to poke around or see what the buzz was about.
