Love to Announce Our New Website!
The Sprocket Report
What a Happy Valentine’s Day for us! The cobbler’s children couldn’t have been more barefoot, but we are pleased as punch to announce that on February 14 we launched the new SprocketWebsites.com website. How do you like the cool new look?
The final push was completed this past weekend in a marathon session so we could concentrate on our clients again come Monday. We trust you’ll agree that the effort was worth it!
Since our own website serves as a showcase for options our client sites could use, we pulled out all the stops on eye-catching effects. You’ll notice parallax scrolling, sliding banners and boxes that both spin and flip.
We also revamped the news page so it resembles the popular Pinterest layout. When readers scan through the graphic images and short intros, additional posts fly in to provide an infinite scroll of all the articles available. Since Sprocket has four bloggers who produce 4-5 articles each and every month, we also provided a traditional blog layout in the menu drop-down. In that layout, readers can find articles by topic, tag or date.
Because mobile devices are used by more than half of website visitors, responsive design is a must-have today. Our old site was already mobile-ready, but this new one is enhanced with a higher degree of mobile awareness. Making use of the latest technology, our website lays out cleaner and gives an even better user experience than before.
And of course there’s a whole bunch of SEO going on in the code in addition to what we’ve done with the content.
But the site isn’t all about eye-candy for techies. We also put a great deal of effort into incorporating our marketing strategy into our design.
Instead of droning on about how great we are, we want the focus to be on prospective clients, what problems they are looking to solve and the solutions available to them. We emphasize the benefits of working with our team and clearly define the services we offer. For prospectives who aren’t ready to take the Call To Action, we follow up with even more reasons to work with us, testimonials from satisfied customers and a really awesome video that takes only 30 seconds to view.
We’re long-time integrators of DotNetNuke, which is the platform this site is built on, and we used products from a favorite vendor, EasyDNNsolutions. Can you tell that we’re pretty excited to get this website done? Take a look for yourself and let us know what you think. If anything sparks your interest, give us a call to talk about it. You know we’re always happy to help!
