Who Likes Turning Away Clients?
This article has been updated on 4/03/2019 with the article entitled “Offering Affordable Websites Today for Tomorrow’s Clients.”
We were uncomfortable turning good folks away and absolutely incensed to see good folks victimized by predatory "web developers" who hardly deserve the name. So we came up with a few solutions to help entrepreneurs with limited budgets while still faithfully serving our main clientele. Here are some options we provide as well as the pros and cons of each:
Website Tonight
Pros:
-
$5 /month gets you a 5-page website and hosting.
-
Contracts are a short as three months.
-
The template designs are attractive and varied.
-
Content Management lets you keep the site fresh without incurring extra fees.
-
Basic creation and updating is easy for most people.
Cons:
-
You do all the work yourself.
-
While offering a good selection of designs, there is a limit.
-
As your business takes off, you will outgrow this option and need to create a new website elsewhere.
DotNetNukeNOW
Pros:
-
$30 /month gets you a 5-page DotNetNuke website and hosting.
-
Contracts are month-to-month.
-
The template designs are attractive and varied.
-
You can change the look of your site and add pages and functions endlessly as your business grows.
-
Content Management lets you keep the site fresh without extra fees.
-
Basic creation and updating is easy for the average technology user.
Cons:
-
You do all the work yourself.
-
More complicated designs require better technology skills.
