Datacenter Upgrade Boosts Capacity 150%

We work with PowerDNN to host our clients' DNN websites. We chose PowerDNN because they are the world leader in DNN infrastructure and hosting. Still, there's always room for improvement and we're happy to report that PowerDNN recently improved by doubling redundancy and increasing throughput capacity. Translated from geekspeak, that means they've reduced the chances that your website will go down when something freaky happens to one of the many moving parts. One less worry for us when we're taking care of your website.

Here is the news release in full:

PowerDNN, already the world’s leading provider of hosting and infrastructure for DotNetNuke® and DNN worldwide, has doubled network redundancy and increased throughput capacity by 150% at its Omaha datacenter point of presence.

“We are constantly reinvesting on our technology and infrastructure,” said Tony Valenti, CEO of PowerDNN. “Omaha 1, is already the largest of our four, worldwide datacenter presences. But we wanted to prepare it for the next wave of growth with additional capacity and layers of redundancy. Now was the perfect time to do it.”

The Omaha 1 datacenter retains its redundant, regional network providers (including Level 3 Communications). Just in time for the release of DotNetNuke / DNN 7.1, this new capacity is achieved via a direct, dedicated fiber channel into the PowerDNN cloud infrastructure and powered by CenturyLink. Not only does this solution deliver significantly enhanced capacity, but it provides a layer of redundancy at the primary carrier and regional level—far exceeding recommended Best Practices for top tier service providers.

“Business and enterprise customers trust us to do more than the minimum,” continued Mr. Valenti. “PowerDNN has always been about service and performance and we are committed to making the kinds of investments that will keep us the first choice for DotNetNuke and DNN Evoq websites.”
