Rank Tracker – Rankings Table Continued
We have been dissecting the Rankings Table over the last couple months because it incorporates a lot of information in a single report. Now that we have identified and defined all the measurements, let’s look at what the data tells us.
Numbers in the Rank column show your overall rank for specific Keywords in Desktop and Mobile searches within the first 50 results.
Red and green arrows in the Change column are obvious – a red arrow means that your rank has gone down, and a green arrow means your rank has gone up. The number next to the arrow reports the change by how many positions. You may also see a symbol such as + in the Change Column. This + means that you previously did not rank at all for this Keyword.
The last two columns are Local Pack and Local Finder. Your rank numbers may be the same in each, so let’s explain the difference. When users search Google by location for a merchant or service provider, they may see results on a search results page or as a list alongside a map. The top very few results that are highlighted on the search results page are the Local Pack. Local Finder are the results that are displayed alongside a map, which usually include more records than the Local Pack. Your position may be the same on each.
If you are not currently running the Rank Tracker report but would like to, just contact us to set up this optional report for your business.
