Last time we talked about how to use the Local Search Grid tool to find out your local competitors for the same Primary Category keyword so you can compare their online presence with yours. But there is more you can learn from this tool.

Last time, we introduced the Local Search Grid tool. Now let’s talk about what to do with the data this tool provides.

One tool to consider adding to your dashboard is the Local Search Grid. This tool is similar to Rank Tracker, but on steroids! Local Search Grid records your business’s ranking across your hyper local area, measured out in a grid.

Once you have built Keyword Groups and created content using those Keywords, (see the previous posts) results will begin to be reflected in the Keyword Groups report.

If you and your account executive decide that grouping your keywords will be beneficial, you will start by creating and naming a Keyword Group so that you can add Keywords to it.

Another optional section in the Rank Tracker report is Keyword Groups. You and your account executive will need to create the group or groups before you can use the tool.

We have been dissecting the Rankings Table over the last couple months because it incorporates a lot of information in a single report. Now that we have identified and defined all the measurements, let’s look at what the data tells us.

Another report in the Rank Tracker is the Rankings Table. There can be a number of different parameters reported here, depending on what you and your account executive have decided to track.

Among the reports you can view in the Rank Tracker is Average Google Position. This is an at-a-glance report that displays results from the report most recently run during each month.
