Local Search Grid – What to do with the data

Last time, we introduced the Local Search Grid tool. Now let’s talk about what to do with the data this tool provides.

Looking through the list of competitors who are all using the same Primary Category keyword, you will easily see how you compare. Check out those who are ranked higher than you to see what they are doing so you can emulate and then exceed their success. Use the data to measure your progress as you improve your SEO efforts for that keyword.

Comparing yourself to your competition also helps you clarify what your business’s unique selling proposition is and what people are actually looking for when they search. Perhaps you are not using the best keywords, or you are not listed in the most appropriate Google Business Profile categories. Fine-tune your marketing with the information gathered by this tool.

Next time, we’ll look at more things you can do with the Local Search Grid data.
