GA4 - The Events Tab

One of the tabs available when you "view full report" for Google Analytics is Events. This report shows how many events occurred and what kind of events they were.

GA4 measures all activity on your website as "events." A visitor going to your website for the first time is an event, as is a visitor returning to your site. Clicking a link, watching a video, and scrolling down a web page are some other events that could occur as users engage with your website.

The line graph shows you the total of all the events that happened on each day over the past 30 days. The bar graph below shows you what kind of events were recorded and how many of each event occurred. You can also filter the data by date if you want to just see the last seven days or if you want to see trends over the past year.

Use this information to see how visitors engage with your website and if your user base is growing so you can make adjustments to your marketing and to your website content.
