Will County Slamdunks Social Media

Sprocket Websites Credited with the Assist

For some, March is all about basketball, but for the Will County team, March is when they expanded their social media reach. Recognizing that social media outlets can be great tools for getting information out to more citizens, Will County updated their online presence, and with the help of Sprocket Websites, linked all of their accounts back to their website.

Will County Executive Larry Walsh has hosted the “Will County at Work” cable show for four years and now visitors can find the YouTube channel right on the homepage of willcountyillinois.com along with links to the county’s Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Google+ accounts.

Also on the homepage is a live Twitter feed so visitors can read the latest tweets without registering for or logging into a Twitter account. Twitter serves as an excellent immediate news outlet that gets the word out quickly when breaking news happens.

The Will County team is excited to connect with more people by communicating through these social media channels. Sprocket Websites is excited to be helping Will County expand their online communication tool set and we look forward working together on the next project.
