New Website Healthy for Will County Citizens

Easy navigation puts wealth of info at user's fingertips

Like a web development fitness trainer, Naperville’s Sprocket Websites recently helped the Will County Health Department get in shape with a trim, attractive website that has the energy to do even more than it could before.

Over time, the Health Department has built a tremendous library of information but the visitor experience was complicated and confusing. Sprocket worked with county staff to reorganize the information available and build different ways to access it. The clean look and clearly-stated buttons like “Forms” and “I Want To” make it easy for visitors to quickly find what they need.

As new information becomes available, staff members use the news broadcasting system to post, store and share articles both on the website and through their social media channels. The simple posting mechanism gives them the ability to update news immediately on their own so there’s no delay in getting the word out.

The Will County Health Department looks forward to serving an increasing number of people and they chose a responsive website design so visitors have a good experience even when using the site while away from home. When viewed on a tablet or smart phone, the website automatically responds with a version that makes the pages easier to read and navigate.

Improvement continues, but Will County citizens will find a wealth of information now on family health, public records and emergency preparedness at www.WillCountyHealth.org. Sprocket Websites is a local web development firm with ties to the Naperville business community since 1996. More business web solution stories can be found at www.SprocketWebsites.com.
