GA4 - The Summary Tab

When you click on “View Full Report” in the right-hand corner of the Google Analytics module, it opens a new series of report modules for a deeper dive.

Four page tabs are available for a closer at the activity on your website over the past 30 days including Summary, Conversions, Events, and Audience. These data reports are generated from GA4, Google's latest Analytics tool.

Traffic is the first report on the Summary screen listing Sessions, Unique Users, and Pageviews. Below that are graphic representations of the same data. Discrepancies between the listed data and the graph can occur for a variety of reasons. For instance, the Users graph includes both new and returning Users, so it may show a lower number than the Unique Users data.

The pie chart on the Summary page gives you an idea where your web traffic is coming from, whether through paid or organic, referral or social media channels.

The goal is to keep Users within your website because studies show that the longer they stay, the more likely they will respond to your Call To Action so the time spent and the pageviews are important metrics to watch. Good content and links to other pages on your site are two ways to keep your User engaged.
