#DNNWorld Opens with a Bang...
of the Steel Drum at the Wednesday Reception
The sound of reggae and calypso music floats across the water and down the path leading to the poolside party. Sprocketeer follows the sound of the steel drum as he makes his way in complete stealth to infiltrate the DNNWorld Opening Reception.
But it wasn't easy. Even in the lush resort area, alligators and black snakes were a threat to our Mighty Mini Marvel of Content Management.
As our Gallant Gearhead crosses a small bridge over still, troubled water, he spots a sign on the post. "Let's see. What does this say? Don't feed the swans and alligators. Good advice indeed. But tackling a gator is not on the agenda tonight."
As our hero continues to his goal, a 4 foot black snake slithers onto the path. 4 feet being gargantuan to his diminutive stature, Sprocketeer stands quietly to let it pass. "I didn't think I'd have all these chances to shop for leather goods tonight."
Finally, he reaches a clearing and the party, in full swing. Sneaking up onto a table behind a libation station, our hero slinks behind the top shelf bottles for a look. "Ah, lots of developers, it appears. Quite a spread of food, and Key Lime Pie! But as I expected, no superheroes appearing tonight. That'll wait til tomorrow. Not much more to see here."
Continuing into the Lake Buena Vista Palace, Sprocketeer finds his way to the rooftop, just in time for the rendezvous with TechMan, on another mission.
He greets his partner in web crime fighting with "Right on time. Any luck with capturing Joomler?"
"Afraid not." TechMan returned. "But we stopped another business from falling into his trap, and that's always a good day!"
"Right you are, old chum," said Sprocketeer. "Now it's time to bunk down in the Sprocket Rocket for a good night's sleep to be energized for DNN World in the morning."
Tune in later for updates on our heroes' adventures at the DotNetNuke conference.
