Citations – Improving Citations

There are hundreds of citation possibilities, so you may never complete them all. Instead, the goal is continue improving with a focus on those most important to your marketing strategy.

Key Citations are the ones to clean up first, but then you may want to look at Live Citations next. You’ll find a great deal of information when you open the tab that lists all the places where citations have been found that relate to your business.

One of the columns is Citation Value. We use Google’s statistics to rate some citation sources as more valuable to your SEO than others. When you decide to start working through the Live Citations list, it makes sense to focus on those whose Citation Value is Very High. Some citation sources require a fee while others are free, so you can work out an individualized plan to balance the value and cost of your business’s citations.

The Citation Tracker is an added service, so if you aren’t currently subscribing to the Tracker, but you are interested in improving the citations of your business, just give us a call.
