Henry County Energizes their Web Presence
Content Management Contains Costs
Henry County, Illinois may be known for the recent wind energy project within their boundaries, but staffers are producing their own “cloud energy” with help from Sprocket Websites.
Committed to getting government communications and resources into the hands of their constituents, Henry County stores information “in the cloud” for both citizens and staff to access at www.henrycty.com.
Henry County chose to build a DotNetNuke content management website with assistance from Sprocket Websites. Costs were contained by tapping into the hard-working functions readily available from DotNetNuke and using office staff to update the pages. Maintaining and improving an outstanding website in a fiscally-responsible manner is managed with training and support from Sprocket.
County records, important contact information, and a wealth of departmental resources are available to visitors, including pages on property taxes, veteran’s assistance, voter information and the health department. Henry County residents are encouraged to go to the site 24/7 to get answers to their questions at any time.
