I attended today’s DotNetNuke Webinar on Nebula – now known as DNN Social. We first learned about this exciting product at DNNWorld 2012 so we kind of knew that it was coming. Well, today it was announced and what a great product announcement it was! Navin Nagiah – CEO, and Will Morgenweck – Director Product Management, from DotNetNuke Corporation gave the presentation via Webinar today.

We have been planning a server move for many months. Well, we had been planning to move one of our production servers this weekend, and the other one in a couple of weeks. However, communications went out to all our clients that this was the weekend of the move so we just moved both servers at once. I was a little nervous about this at first, as there were a total of four DotNetNuke installations to move, but in hindsight, I’m glad that it’s done now. There were domain names to coordinate and A records to change, moving many gigabytes of customer information including multiple SQL server databases (DotNetNuke and non-DotNetNuke alike) and a hundred other small things, but Don and I just rolled up our sleeves and...

Like a lot of small businesses, Sprocket Websites sometimes suffers from the “Shoemaker’s kids have no shoes” syndrome. We spend a great deal of time working on our customer’s websites. From building new sites, to updating existing sites with new looks or functionality, to creating and posting new content and social media updates. It keeps us busy to say the least and sometimes we go a while working in the business before we can get back to working on the business a bit. Well a new module update spawned a whole bunch of work for me on our own website.

Responding to increasing demand by tech-savvy public servants and their constituents, Sprocket Websites is pleased to introduce our new Digital Governance Team.

We have been working with local government agencies for some time, but the need has never been greater and Sprocket Websites acted to satisfy that growing need.

At 11:00pm last night I was notified that one of my servers was having a problem. I run a couple of site monitoring tools and Simon was the one that picked up the problem first. I got online and started a remote desktop session to the server and it connected, which normally when one of my servers isn’t running properly a RDC will fail. However, it connected and presented me with the “I’ve just had an unexpected reboot problem screen” and wanted me to tell it what happened. Well at this point I had no idea and thought about the irony of that particular screen as I filled in “unknown” into the restart reason box.

Susan and I get back to the Home Offices of Sprocket Websites every couple of months. We have been on a whirlwind tour of the country the last couple of weeks. Orlando, Phoenix, Chicago… However, it looks like it is going to slow down a bit in December, but November isn’t over just yet and I’ve got a couple of road trips coming up so I’ll keep you posted.

Susan and I attend this event over the last several days in Phoenix, AZ. This was a professional conference for Susan, but for me it was a research exercise to check out the happenings in the pharmacy industry.

I checked out the exhibit hall to see what was going on. There were lots of drug manufactures, companies that produce pill counting machines and blister packs.M/p>

So going from DotNetNuke World 2011 #DNNWorld in Orlando Florida to the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists Annual Meeting 2011 #ASCPAM11 is quite a difference experience indeed. I’m here this year at #ASCP to check out the exhibitors, study marketing trends, and get a feel for what is happening in the world of consulting pharmacists. Susan is here with me at this show as it is really a professional conference for her. There were two keynote addresses today, which I thought was a bit odd calling them keynote addresses as there was one already at the beginning of the show as where the key note is supposed to be.
