Using Original Visual Content to Boost Interest
DIY Sprocket Solutions
Visual content is a proven way to bring in readers, followers, and customers. The right kind of visual content can inspire someone to click on an article, buy a product, or do more research into your company. While there are millions of stock options out there –original content will always be the best choice. Why? It’s unique. It’s one of a kind. It’s a brand new experience to viewers.
For instance, when you insert a standard stock image onto your company’s page you are filling a space and creating a view that’s visually appealing. When you take the time to capture, create or curate your own original visual content –you are giving your viewers an entirely different experience.
For marketing purposes, original content options can vary greatly depending on what social media channel or site you are promoting your company on. You can take pictures or video of a multitude of things to create your own visual content. Consider the options of pictures and videos: products, services, behind the scenes visuals, interviews, before and afters, product guides, infographics, location photos, and more. You can create graphics to share on social media. You can create special offers to spread to consumers. You can take photos daily around your store or office that entice the viewer and give an inside peek into your world. The opportunities are endless.
The key is to be creative and productive. Finding free stock images that fit with your needs is an option, but it’s a stale one. Create the visual that you need and then use it to best benefit your business marketing needs. You can build interest in your brand by simply presenting your actual brand itself. Instead of standard photos of “business” –snap a few photos of you at your actual home office. Instead of finding a generic coffee graphic –take a picture or short video of the morning rush at the coffee shop you own. Use what you have. People like their visuals to tell a story. So, tell that story.
People sometimes make social media marketing more difficult than it has to be. Think of what you share on a personal level. What gets more interaction? Is it the generic share of an article? Is it the random graphic of a quote that you found? Or is it photos of your weekend adventures? We already know what works on social media –let’s start utilizing it for our business.
