Offering Affordable Websites Today for Tomorrow's Clients

The Sprocket Report

This is an update to "Who Likes Turning Away Clients?" dated 10/04/2011.

If you are a brand new business owner, you may not be ready for Sprocket Websites’ complete range of services – yet! So we worked out a plan just for you.

We are absolutely incensed when we see good folks victimized by so-called "web developers" who take advantage of small start-up businesses by selling them more website than they need at prices they can’t afford. It is important to us that we help new businesses survive and grow during their early days so we can be their website partners in the future.

New business owners may not even know all their website needs until they have actually run day-to-day operations for a while. Experience clarifies who your target market is, where they hang out and how to speak to them which can greatly influence your digital marketing strategy.

Over the years, we came up with a few solutions to help entrepreneurs with limited budgets. Just like the new ventures we want to serve, some of those solutions didn’t pass the day-to-day operations test and we dropped them, but we have continued to develop a path for folks to move from start-up to successful business.

We launched our Sprocket Store for do-it-yourselfers who have more time than money. At the Sprocket Store, you can research and buy domain names and set up a business email account. You can also build your own website, either with the simple Website Builder or with WordPress. There’s a Shopping Cart option as well, if you have products to sell, and SSL certificate options.

You are also welcome to take advantage of the free tips and information we have shared over the last decade through our blog. Online marketing, offline marketing, digital tools, best practices – we’re happy to share what we’ve learned with fellow entrepreneurs.

More than once we’ve had people tell us "I can’t afford you" and that’s troubling. With the Sprocket Store, instead of turning good folks away, we can start building a relationship today and have the opportunity to be your website partner tomorrow.

We are huge proponents of small business. If you or someone you know is struggling to launch an awesome web presence on a limited budget, check out the Sprocket Store right now. Or contact us with your questions – we’re happy to help.

Sprocket Report

Every other Tuesday, Sprocket sends out the Sprocket Report, our latest business tip or our reaction to what's currently happening in Internet Marketing.

You'll read a web marketing tip from Kate, another one from Breanne, and - bonus! - we always have a guest post as well.

That's three valuable posts that you can read, plus a quick look at upcoming events and what's being said on Twitter. A great synopsis!

You'll want to get this newsletter for yourself, in your own inbox, so here's how. It's easy!

Scroll back up and put your email in the box. OR scroll to the bottom of each page. We have our newsletter subscription box there, too!

We NEVER give out your email address to anybody else, and we don't flood you with ads. It's just good, free information.
